Rebranding of Verve Group

Verve Group is a global scale ad-tech company that provides full-stack solutions to their clients.

Back when I joined Verve Group as Marketing Designer in March 2020, it was still under the name of PubNative GmbH. It was acquired 3 months later, and the company merged into what is known as Verve Group today.

 

Soon after, I was tasked to create a brand new visual identity for the new company. The project was officially published in April 2021. However, as a rapidly growing company, it is an ever-evolving project that is still growing and shaping to this day.

Branding Design

Since March 2020 until now, 8 mergers and acquisitions happened within Verve Group. Keeping a consistent visual identity has been a challenge and a big focus of my work.  

 

I worked closely with the relative stack-holders across different teams, coordinated and facilitated numerous workshops, from ideation to creative direction. Conducted surveys and tests for feedback, which helped to shape our brand identity and messaging along the way.

As the senior visual designer,  I have created and developed the brand visual identity system for the new brand, including an omnichannel design solution for all external and internal communication platforms, for both the Verve Group Brand and its employer branding.

To better understanding the objective and goal of the rebranding from the get-go, together with the stakeholders, we went through a series of discovery workshops to define and clarify the design principle and direction of the re-branding project.

As result, I have designed the company logo, the corporate VI system, as well as basic templates for marketing and sales materials.

Challenges and results

Working in a company that's constantly going through rapid growth and reshaping teams, I had to face numerous challenges such as the constant change in company structure, product focus, and fog stage of brand positioning due to frequent merges and acquisitions.

​

But with efficient communication and the help of other team members, we managed to complete and publish the Verve Group brand by early April 2021. The new brand received a lot of notice and compliments from the clients and partners, and rather unified positive feedback from company colleagues, more importantly, it unified the numbers of companies under the Verve Group name.
